Hello, my name is Imogen and I have been playing the piano for over 30 years. It's one of my greatest passions and I love inspiring my students to pursue their interest in music. I play and teach both classical and jazz, as well as many other modern styles, and I also teach practical musicianship and theory to grade 5. Regardless of whether you're a beginner or looking to progress, for fun or through the ABRSM grades, I can help you.
My approach to teaching is different. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore music both technically and emotionally.
I am a trained musician (classical and jazz pianist, church organist, and I also play and teach basic flute and clarinet). And I am also working towards my professional music teaching diploma with the London College of Music.
Adults, teens and children, I encourage all my students to explore and learn through a combination of practical study, technical theory work and also 'natural' musicianship, such as developing an ear for music. Lessons are structured yet really interesting and good fun, which means students are keen to learn. Music is a great joy - and great fun - after all!
I live in Buckley, Flintshire and teach the piano from my home. Or for a small charge to cover travel I can come to you.
To find out more, or to have a chat about learning to play the piano, please call me on 07974 003605 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
My charges are very competitive. Depending on students' individual requirements, I can teach either in 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute sessions. I also offer shorter lessons for preschoolers upon request.
